NBA Coming Back To Seattle?

Playing in the NBA between 1967-2008, the city of Seattle was home to the Supersonics and kept fans in the Northwestern United States entertained nightly until the team was unsuccessful in persuading the Washington Government to assist with funding to refresh the Key Arena. The following season, the Sonics were relocated to Oklahoma City and became known as the Thunder.

Enter Lenny Wilkens. Rumor has it Lenny who has been involved with the NBA for over 50 years is looking at possibly helping the NBA bring a franchise back to the Seattle area. As great as this sounds, Wilkens will still have to deal with the arena issue with the Washington Government. The Sonics kept fans electrified for years and many were saddened with the departure of the team. HopefullyWilkens can make this happen as the NBA has definitely missed basketball in the Seattle area.
