What does 2011 have in store for the NBA?

With 2010 coming to an end, it’s time to take a look at TheBowse.com’s top 10 things to look out for in the remainder of this NBA season:

1. The race to the finish. With so many teams playing at such a high level of play it’s anyone’s guess right now who will be the last team standing. It’s going to be one exciting finish!

2. Can Kevin Durant continue to lead the league in scoring? Will he break the 30 point mark on average again this season?

3. As Kevin Love approaches an average of 16 rebounds per game, can he continue his torrid pace and lead the league in rebounding like no other player has before?

4. Will the turmoil in Sacramento continue? Aside from Tyreke Evans, the starting lineup on the Kings has changed almost daily. Paul Westphal’s job has very little security and Geoff Petrie and his staff are in danger of losing their jobs. What will the outcome be here?

5. What will the result of the Collective Bargaining agreement be? Will the NBA players be locked out? Will Billy King and David Stern come to an agreement and save next season?

6. Who will be the eventual Rookie of the Year? Will Blake Griffin continue his domination? Or will John Wall finally stay healthy enough to live up to his hype and make some serious gains with the Washington Wizards?

7. What will be of the Charlotte Bobcats? With rumors  flying about a total roster shakeup and Coach Larry Brown already stepping down, only time will tell what happens to the Bobcats. After making the playoffs last season, Michael Jordan’s team looks nothing like last years successful lineup.

8. If Rajon Rondo comes back from injury fast enough, can he beat John Stockton’s record average of 14.5 assists per game mark?

9. What will the Trade Deadline have in store for the NBA? With the Cavaliers and Raptors still holding their trade exceptions, Carmelo Anthony clearly available to the highest bidder, Antawn Jamison available and a good amount of expiring contracts, the February rumor mill will be going crazy!

10. Can The Lakers 3-peat? The Lakers have shown weakness this season. Especially after their Christmas Day loss to the hands of the Miami Heat. With that game in the past and 2011 around the corner, can Kobe and company make it back to The Finals and reclaim their crown atop the NBA?
