The Charlotte Bobcats were reeling and former Head Coach Larry Brown lost control of his team. Brown proceeded to step down and the team was taken over by Paul Silas. Since taking over, the Bobcats are 15-12 under Silas and they look like a serious contender to make the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. As the Bobcats continue to push under Silas, he has been rewarded with a 1-year contract extension according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
