They came, they shot and they conquered.

This was exactly the game that the 4th seeded Magic needed over the 5th seeded Hawks in the 101-76 blowout. After four sloppy games that left them scratching their heads. Orlando managed to stave off elimination with a game of fluent movement, great defense, offensive flow and all round shooting to force a Game 6 in Atlanta.

Shooting goals was one thing that Magic couldn’t do in the series against Atlanta as they connected 22% of their three pointers. In this game, they shot a remarkable 42% of their three-pointers. The player’s confidence will surely be boosted by that effort and Magic hopes that it will roll over to Game 6

Even more interesting, Dwight Howard who has been carrying Magic in this series thus far withhis 32 point, 14 rebound average, only scored 8 and had 8 rebounds, largely due to fighting foul trouble, He had only played 29 minutes after playing about 45 minutes in the first four games. The game was easily won by Orlando’s perimeter players with Redick’s(14 points), J-Rich (17), Q-Rich (7), Arenas (9) and Nelson (9), to go with PF/C Anderson’s hot hand scoring 11 points.

The troubles didn’t stop there for Atlanta, the dynamic duo, Johnson and Crawford were averaging in the 20′s for this series only to combine for a 4-20 shooting effort with them scoring 5 and 8 points respectively.

This game has made the series ever more interesting with Game 6 set to be played in Atlanta. Many storylines could happen on Thursday. Atlanta can start scratching their heads and roll over as Magic steamroll them in Game 6 and 7 like they did in the previous playoffs or Atlanta can step up and deny Magic to dominate like they did in this game and win the series, or it can be a tough, grind it out, whoever play better defense wins type of game. I believe it is the latter, but for now Magic fans can breathe a sigh of relief as they witnessed the real Magic team playing in Game 5.

Tune in on Thursday at 7:30pm, it is set to be a cracker of a match!
