This game ended Magic’s season of drama, hurdles, a big trade, streaks and high hopes. This game inflicted revenge from Atlanta after the lopsided round 2 playoff matchup last season where Magic steamrolled the Hawks.

The last game of this matchup painted a clear picture of what had happened in the whole series. The same storyline consisted of a fast start by Atlanta, running to a double digit lead. Orlando caught up. Orlando could not shoot the ball as well as they did in the regular season, Hawks couldn’t control Dwight as Magic couldn’t control Johnson and Crawford and Atlanta won the tight game in the end.

This game would not affect anyone else more that JJ Redick whom is known for his consistent 3 point shot as he missed an open look that would have sent the game into overtime.

The Hawks, behind Johnson’s 23 points, 10 rebounds and Crawford’s 19 points, including a few crucial ones, again exploded from the blocks and dominated the game as they did for the whole series to advance to Round 2.

J-Rich only played 9 minutes due to stitches on his feet which didn’t help the Magic as he couldn’t contain Johnson and play his usual shooting game like he did in Game 5.

Atlanta will now go on to face the no.1 Bulls, who are fresh from their series against Pacers which will be an exciting series! Whereas Orlando will go back to their hometown and work hard to get better for the next series.
