League and Union are Talking

As the clock is fast approaches the June 30th end of the collective bargaining agreement in the NBA between the League and the Players Union, at least for now both sides are talking.  According to Henry Abbot of ESPN.com, David Stern has been meeting with Billy Hunter of the Union to discuss the situation.  The major issues that are holding back the talks are of course the hard salary cap the league wishes to impose and the desire to ensure all teams are profitable.  This of course is where the league’s ideas and unions differ in so many ways and are a big part of the problem.
