Oklahoma was in cruise control in Game 3 of the Round 2 matchup

Ibaka had the blocks, Durant had the points. Perkins had the rebounds and Westbrook had the assists Thunder played with speed and style. Even though it was a poor shooting performance, Oklahoma grinded it out. Every time Memphis challenged for the lead, Oklahoma had the reply!

Oklahoma City was up 70-54 on Kendrick Perkins’ tip-in with 3:53 left in the third and was in control with Westbrook scoring 13 points in the period, ready to have the series lead 2-1

As they were seemingly in cruise control, Oklahoma ended up in a collision!

Memphis switched it around and decided to play with a bit more desperation with their home crowd behind them. Hollins went with Shane Battier, Allen, Mayo, Conley and Darrell Arthur for a stretch with Randolph and Gasol on the bench. Credit goes to the move as Memphis erased that lead with a 13-2 run and outscored Oklahoma City 23-10 in the fourth quarter.

With the score tied at 86, both teams had a chance to win in regulation. Brooks took a timeout with 18 seconds to go. Durant missed a 20-footer off the back rim as the shot clock buzzer sounded with 4 seconds left, but Randolph’s own 3 for the win clanked off the rim at the buzzer.

In overtime, it was the same thing that happened in the fourth, Memphis just took over as Thunder stayed cold. Memphis scored 15-7 in overtime. The Thunder hit just 3 of 12 in the extra period.

Zach Randolph who has been carrying the Memphis with his scintilling form had 21 points and racked up an amazing 21 rebounds!

Oklahoma was left scratching their heads, wondering what went wrong.

Game 4 will prove pivotal for Thunder as it will be at Memphis’ home court and Oklahoma will look to take back the home court advantage!

I think everybody is still thinking about what happened in the fourth. I don’t know what it was but I’m so happy here in Brazil to see we have a real chance win the series that all I can say now is: I’M A BELIEVER! Congratulations for your excellent job here.
