Mavs Sign Jerome Randle; Roster at 14

On Tuesday, the Mavs traded Corey Brewer and Rudy Fernandez to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for a 2016 second-round pick, cutting the roster from 15 guys to 13.

Now the roster is back to 14 after Dallas signed free agent Jerome Randle, former Cal star. Randle played in Turkey after he was undrafted in 2010. On the Turkish club Aliaga, he averaged 17.5 points per game and 3.9 assists in one season.

On California, he was Pac-10 player of the year in 09-10, an averaged 18.6 points and 4.3 assists. He was a three-year starter for the Golden Bears.

Aside from Randle, the Mavs also signed Drew Neitzel to their training camp roster, both with non-guaranteed contracts. Neitzel is a former Michigan State standout who has been playing in Germany and France professionally.
